Method of producing rock wool board insulation
After melting the basalt rock in the furnace and its exit, it immediately enters the fiber machine with the help of strong blowers.
At the same time, a special resin with specific compounds, mostly phenolic resin and water, is added to the sprays in melting.
At the end of the fiber machine, we see rock wool fibers which are slightly less.
It is called resinous rock wool.
Method of producing board insulation
Adding resin to rock wool fibers causes adhesion between fibers.
This makes the mold work easier.
After this stage:
Resinous rock wool ordered by the customer with a specified density and thickness is sent to the baking machine.
For example:
Let's produce a board insulation with a thickness of 50 millimeters and a density of 80 kilograms per cubic meter.
4 kilograms of raw rock wool with resin is required for each square meter.
Since the resinous rock wool contains water and loses it after entering the baking machine.
Therefore, 10% more than the calculated weight of rock wool is usually added.
For example, to produce 1 square meter of 50mm thick rock wool board, 4.4 kilograms of wool is considered.
Rock wool board insulation is presented in three ways:
1- Simple insulation
2- Insulation with craft paper covering
3- Insulation with reinforced aluminum covering
The standard dimensions of this product are 120x60 centimeters.
