Stonewool Pipe Insulation (Isopipe)

Stone wool Pipe Insulation (IsoPipe)

Stonewool pipe insulation, or IsoPipe, as its name suggests, is used to insulate various types of pipes. Depending on the type and size of the pipe, as well as the temperature of the fluid or gas inside the pipe, this insulation with different thicknesses is used.

The density of this product ranges between 110 to 140 kilograms per cubic meter, and the produced thickness varies between 25 to 100 millimeters.

Isfahan Stone Wool Company produces insulation for pipes ranging from 1/2 inch to 22 inches in size. However, it is recommended to use blanket or IsoBlanket stone wool for cost-effectiveness for pipes larger than 8 inches.

Production method:
This type of insulation is a resin-bonded insulation, meaning that raw stone wool is impregnated with resin, then molded onto specific templates and cured in a chamber for 15 to 60 minutes depending on its thickness.

After curing, the insulation does not have a regular shape, so skilled workers trim and shape it with a special blade to achieve a standardized appearance and thickness.

Each piece of pipe insulation is 50 centimeters long and is packed in sets of six. A slit is made along the length of the insulation for installation, and the insulation is opened and wrapped around the pipe, then secured with clips and other accessories.

Stone wool pipe insulation is available in three forms:
1. Plain stone wool pipe insulation
2. Stone wool pipe insulation with Kraft paper facing
3. Reinforced aluminum foil faced stone wool pipe insulation
